It is so quiet and such an easy gun to pump. Open sights 12 yards .177cal Crosman Pointed 7.9gr He was just begging for it as he continuously dug holes in my newly seeded lawn looking for nuts that he will NEVER find. Stupid squirrel. I put him out of my misery. I was sitting on the back porch reading a good book with my little Daisy resting near me ready to go. They're much more sketchy in behavior..."at least where I'm located"Noisy little suckers too..especially now that the trees next to my house are in bloom. I remember when I was a teenager. My parents had bird feeders that the ground squirrels just wouldn't let alone. Nothing like nursing a cold coke for an hour or so picking the little bastards out of the trees and bird feeders. Only starlings and squirrels though. Yeah, I leave the birds and animals alone that do not have a hunting season. Song birds are off my list completely. The interesting thing is...we recently moved to another state. We used to have a billion starlings and few squirrels. Not it's just the opposite. I see one a lot that lays flat down and rests on the dirt like a dog would. The only time I see starlings are when they migrate south for the winter through the area in large masses during Nov for just a few days.
