I plan on buying 500 to 1000 rounds with the gun to break it in on. What do some of your Diana 34's like to eat?
I'm really excited to get it and start shooting! |

Mine likes RWS SuperDomes for hunting and general accuracy.
For cheap can killing, Crosman field point (the uber cheap milk carton ones) work great. |

I'll probably pick up a few different kinds but for breaking it in maybe I should just use the Crosman field points. At least for a couple hundred rounds. |

Word from the wise... the el cheapos are very small. They like to fit loosely in the barrel, so be careful when closing the barrel that the pellet doesn't fall out. I have had this happen before, but I caught the mistake before a dry fire could occur.
If you're lucky the scope bell will catch it. Just don't stick your fingers in there to grab it. Invert the gun and then grab it when the pellet falls from the bell. |

Airgundepot had the 34 on sale for $199.99 so I ordered from there. I went with two of the suggested types of ammo on their site. I got a tin of RWS superpoints and some super H-points.
Now I wait..... |

Been looking on-line for 500 ct. tins and have seen prices ranging from $7.50 to $13 plus S&H. S&H is the deal killer if you don't buy at least $100 or so of other stuff. Where do you buy yours? |

Buy 3 get one free. Usually good service. Make sure you get their advertised super-duper-extra-fancy pellet packaging so "they can take a hit, so you can make yours"... sometimes this doesn't happen. Call them and let them know it happened so it won't the next time. |

| Pyramydair.com has a 10% coupon good through 6-02 and with the fourth tin free, comes to $6.25/tin but their shipping charge ($8.74) is still too high. Amounts to $8.43/tin, shipped. Ever see them offer free shipping on an order of this size? |

I got the gun today and I'm very happy with it. I adjusted the sites a bit since it was shooting a bit high for the range I was using it at. I was making good shots at different targets so I decided to set up a bottle cap at 25-30 feet away. Using the iron sights I made this shot on the first attempt.
I am generally a good shot, but it's a testament to this rifles accuracy. I can't make the shot if the rifle can't. I'm very impressed.
Note: This shot was made with an RWS Super H Point. |

Nice shot, man. I'm impressed too. Maybe it's also testament to RWS' pellet quality. Tried Gamo (Master Point, Magnum, and Hunter) but didn't shoot accurately with those. Looking forward to trying RWS SuperDomes once a good deal on them is uncovered.
Don't know about you but I've found my 34 a bit too heavy (cocking and overall) for my liking. Have been using sandbags on my indoor range to lessen fatigue. Still no regrets. Quality vs. Crosman 1000X is no contest. |

I'm a big guy so I manage the 34 just fine. My kids, however, cannot hold it very well. I'll be purchasing a youth rifle for them. |
