Why a high powered pistol?

Doesn't make much sense...

Here's my best guess:

I just like it high powered, but i got one question what would be a better gun a Daisy Powerline 008, Gamo PT-80, or the walther p88? Overall what is a better gun in accuracy, power, and velocity?

If you aren't going to be hunting, then higher power isn't better.

If you are plinking you would like accuracy MUCH more than power.

Power is no good if you can't hit what you are aiming for.

Most airgunners go through this same stage. I did, and now I am looking for an almost-competition quality gun.

You might like this if you are just going to be punching holes in paper and blowing up soda cans in your back yard:

You did say price was not an issue, right? Mr. Green

Well the evanix is a little too expensive, but i want one thats co2 and shoots more than one shot unlike the beeman. Thats why im thinking of getting a daisy powerline 008 heard many reviews. I want a gun for power too, not like a hunting one liek the single shot ones. I also looked at the Crossman T4, wondering if the Crossman T4 is better than the Daisy Powerline 008. And one question is the Anics a good gun to get? because i heard of many bad reviews about the gun.

Tommy:
If the market dropped out from under you since your first post and can no longer afford the Evanix, how about buying all three cheapies you ask about and give us your review of the three.

Awaiting your reviews

Strange that nobody mentioned the Crosman 2240 .
It is the best bang for your dollar.

This .22 caliber air pistol features an improved bolt design for easier cocking and loading, with hammer strike piercing for convenient CO2 power. The rifled steel barrel provides greater accuracy.
Power Source: CO2
Caliber: .22 (5.5 mm)
Max Velocity: up to 460 fps (140.21 m/s)
Capacity: Single shot
Length: 11.125" (28.3 cm)
Weight: 1 lb. 13 oz. (0.82 kg.)
Material: Barrel: Rifled steel, Grip: Synthetic

I have a bunch of air pistols and my 2 2240 come out the winners in many aspects.

I have one, and it is a nice gun. More powerful than my Marksman 2004, less accurate, and way noisier. That, and the fact that CO2 guns are temperature sensitive makes it a summer-outdoor gun for me.

Not withstanding the 22xx's are very easily modified. As Joe and many other's have proven.

Hey Jax... Prototype #1 is done... Check out the adapter for the colapsable stock... I started production today for the 22xx's and 13xx's... Another backpacking option...

I got a little 2240 to proto parts on and to play with... it's fun to shoot the little shorty... But... it will get a longer barrel, Steel breech, sling and a brake of course... I grabed the Red Dot of my 1077 just to play with it today...

Ya if you aren't set on a repeater, the 2240 is a good choice. Surprisingly the little Daisy 008 shoots harder than you'd think. I've got it, the Crosman revolver etc. and the Daisy shoots harder and faster than most any repeater (budget) I've got. I can't affors the Rohm and a the higher priced pistols ao, can't comment on them. But, powerful co2 pistol, the 2240 is a good choice.
