I didn't take a before picture or in progress shots unfortunately. I drilled out the hole, but didnt think there was enough metal left to last, so I drilled even larger then tapped the hole with a 1/8" NPT pipe thread tap. I screwed in a 1/8" pipe nipple and brazed it into place. Sawed off the excess and filed both sides flush. The inside diameter of a 1/8" pipe nipple is, as you would expect, a bit larger than 1/4". So I drilled the hole in the pump tube and barrel band to 1/4". I ground the end off a drill bit to use as a pin and used spring nuts and washers from home depot to hold it in place.
