The seal is a bit to large for the tube, so resizing is required. How do i do this ? I just put it in carefully and it was a great success. Second tip: If there's no way to get it to fit "as is" you are going to have to sand it down. The simplest and most accurate way is likely to hold it up against a belt sander as it turns, and allow some resistance, but still some turning of the seal in whatever fixture you are holding it (i.e. a rod of some sort). _________________ ` I'd say "I care." The really odd part is that the newest Crosman seals have been getting made out of this clear-style polyurethane recently as well. What are the chances a Chinese manufacturer and Maccari's supplier have both changed to this in the very recent past if they are two totally different manufacturers? _________________ ` I'd say "I care." Thank you, i sanded the seal down from 28.60mm to 28.40mm. I'll wait to reassemble the rifle until the moly paste i have on order arrives. I have been playing around with making my own seals... having trouble fineding the right urethane...hard enough to machine but soft enough to seal... Tryed Shore 60A..felt hard in bar form but once machied to seal size was very soft... I have some Shore 95A coming to see how it works.... Eric..70D?..I would say you are prob not to far of base there... Shore is the surname of the guy that came up with the durometer scale...
