This statement concerns the fire models, the single shots that come without lever action. The lever action versions were already prohibited because they look like Winchesters ( ). Dutch law states that any kind of airgun is legal, as long as it isn't a (spitting image) replica. These rifles had been declared legal just a a month or so ago by a judge, and that should mean that it's legally is bound by law. Still, seems like another one of those change in policy and later change in law that they slip in "under the radar". You can probably top 6FPE with a blowgun Restrictive laws are bad enough, but stupid ones are unbearable. We still have firearms to catch all the hell and keep the heat off us.......for now. By the way, if you own something like this, and it becomes illegal overnight (because that's sort of what happened) then you are immediately branded a criminal. Turning it in (like some goodwilling people might do, while trying to obey the law, do the right thing) will mean that you risk a fine, or maybe even worse. You can get sued for not noticing changes in the law that they slip in under the radar. No goodwill from the Police or anything. Democracy at work for you... I have a neighbor that buys my ammo and another tha buys me CO2 cartridges. They love having the starlings and crows dead. Over here you have to get your folding stock fixed and if it's not fixed properly you risk loosing it. But the law never states what "fixed properly" means. So you might end up buying a perfectly legal rifle that doesn't have the folding stock fixed properly, even though it was fixed by a certified arms dealer/smith. Apparently, these big bore rifles aren't prohibited to own at all, however, they are illegal to import, for some dark reason that I fail to comprehend. It has seemed that Dutch (big bore) airgun sellers had complained to customs about the import of these rifles, and that it was costing them to much money. It's a win situation for them. Guess I won't ever be buying a new rifle again.
