One of the Dutch provinces (Zeeland) stated that the 9mm Shinsung rifles are prohibited, however this hasn't been stated on the website where changes in the law are stated.
This statement concerns the fire models, the single shots that come without lever action. The lever action versions were already prohibited because they look like Winchesters ( ). Dutch law states that any kind of airgun is legal, as long as it isn't a (spitting image) replica.
These rifles had been declared legal just a a month or so ago by a judge, and that should mean that it's legally is bound by law.
Still, seems like another one of those change in policy and later change in law that they slip in "under the radar".
This country is getting to small, and this is the result. |

A shinsung looks like a Winchester ??
You can probably top 6FPE with a blowgun
Restrictive laws are bad enough, but stupid ones are unbearable. We still have firearms to catch all the hell and keep the heat off us.......for now.

If the climate was comparable over here, then at least it wouldn't be that bad. I could open an icecream business and with the money I'd go on vacation to a more gun liberal country.

Bureaucracy at work: Someone who doesn't have anything to do with it get's to do something important with it. Result: AAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!
This is what they want to make illegal:
This one already was illegal:
The way they screw ants with this, there's no telling what's next. Anything with a stock on it may be illegal.
By the way, if you own something like this, and it becomes illegal overnight (because that's sort of what happened) then you are immediately branded a criminal. Turning it in (like some goodwilling people might do, while trying to obey the law, do the right thing) will mean that you risk a fine, or maybe even worse. You can get sued for not noticing changes in the law that they slip in under the radar. No goodwill from the Police or anything.
Democracy at work for you...
I've made up my mind about a year ago, and this only confirms it: I ain't staying in this paper-run country. |

Hey dude, come to ohio. they don't give a crap in smaller towns. I have a neighbor that buys my ammo and another tha buys me CO2 cartridges. They love having the starlings and crows dead. I do clean up after myself though so everybody says "what dead bird? |

| I don't know much about the rest of Ohio, but I know a lot of people in the police dept, so I can get away with a lot when it comes to airguns. |

now you know how i feel with burners broom.
you can have a mini-14 all day long. put a folding or thumbhole stock on it
and you're a deranged mass murderer in the making.
most of the factors that define an "assult gun" are cosmetic. |

Aw Sniper, with burners it's already been like that over here for years. Over here you have to get your folding stock fixed and if it's not fixed properly you risk loosing it. But the law never states what "fixed properly" means. So you might end up buying a perfectly legal rifle that doesn't have the folding stock fixed properly, even though it was fixed by a certified arms dealer/smith.
Just that many ways to get mangled in the papermill. |

| Weird fact: It's not caliber related because that wasn't mentioned anywhere and the police reports on the power of standard Shinsung 201 and 202's seem like they come from a Gamo ad campaign, stating the rifles reach over 240 joules, while they would typically, out of the box only reach about 110-130. |

Well, here's an update on the whole story.
Apparently, these big bore rifles aren't prohibited to own at all, however, they are illegal to import, for some dark reason that I fail to comprehend.
It has seemed that Dutch (big bore) airgun sellers had complained to customs about the import of these rifles, and that it was costing them to much money. It's a win situation for them. Guess I won't ever be buying a new rifle again. The worst thing is, that they're getting away with it. |

| If it wasn't for "assault" rifles, then most of these countries wouldn't exist. |
