After a long search, I finally found a backpack
long enough to fit the Condor and it's accessories
into for bike travel.

Now all I have to do is cut and fit some foam chunks
and velcro straps to separate and hold everything
in place.

I received mine 2-9-07. The only things that have been
done to it are:
The label on the hammer preload adjusting thumbwheel
peeled off. They sent me a new power wheel free of
charge.

I sent the tank in and had one of the new valves put
in it free of charge. That bumped the power up a bit and made it way
more consistent and almost doubled the shot count.
Other than that, nothing has been done to it. If you do
get one, you will not be sorry. They are truly an amazing
airgun.
They will put a 29 grain Eun Jin pellet completely through
a 2x6 at 35 yards. Yet, are so accurate, that you can hit a
1 litre plastic water bottle at 150 yards. If you shoot it on low
power you can get over 150 shots at 19 fpe before a refill.
I have taken quite a bit of game with mine. Chipmunks, rats,
a bagger, mountain lion, geese (85 yards) and a peacock
(75 yards).

If you shoot it in an enclosed space, you might need hearing protection
unless you quiet it down. They can be made almost completely
silent even on high power with a high volume moderator. These
cost me less than $10 to build with parts available from any hardware
store.

You are cruising for a difficult discussion with some Federal law enforcement types, unless you have a very good explanation. Taking of geese is not allowed using a rifle or pistol. Depending on Washington's definition of a "firearm" it may be illegal to take <i>any</i> game bird with an airgun. Never mind the questions of whether you had a migratory bird stamp, whether it was in-season, and so on.

Illegal hunting with airguns gives all airgunners a bad name.

CW how is the firing behavior of the rifle? IF and it's a big IF, I understand this gun correctly there are very few moving parts during firing??? Do you feel a scope is a must? I have excellent vision and was wanting to avoid scopes for as long as my eyes allow. I know a scope is a must if you plan to extract ALL the accuaracy potential the gun is capable of, but as of now I prefer open sights. Also how low on the power (expressed in fps or fpe) can you go and still remain consistent? How many shots do you get at max and min power? What are those numbers? Whats the spread? I know, I'm badgering you with a lot of questions.

The geese were taken in the name of pest control.
It was all tied in with local law enforcement. It was
at an RV park. Campers at the park had been feeding
the geese (illegal) and the geese were getting very
over populated and very aggressive. When people would
try to have a picnic, the geese would come over and run
them off and proceed to eat their food. When they bite, it
is like being squeezed real hard with a pair of pliers.
After a couple of kids got bit, they called me.
There were 56 geese.I culled that down to the least
aggressive 19.

As for the peacock, there were originally 36 of
them. The RV park owner trapped all but two.
One got hit by a truck and I got the other one.

The fireing behavior is very mild. There is some recoil.
especially on high power. I don't know why people
say that all PCPs are recoiles.
You are right, the gun has very few parts and is
vey simple to work on. It feels very robust in your
hands. It is made mostly out of 6061 aluminum and
and hardened chrome-moly steel.
The stock is some kind of fiberglass filled plastic.
If you look down the bore of the Walther barrel
the first thing that you notice is that it is has a mirror
finish. I have a bore scope and when it is inserted in
the bore you can see the reflection of the bore scope
lens.
The trigger and safety were very stiff when new, but
after about 2000 shots, starts to feel very crisp and nice.
Airforce really stands behind their products too.
I used the warranty twice and they were quick and
courteous.

I would definitely put a high quality scope on it.
These things are accurate out to 150-200 yards.

Thanks for clearing that up. I know how nasty geese can be when they lose their natural fear of humans. It wasn't clear from your post that legal pest control was involved.

That's mighty good shootin' at 80 yards!

PS to SavageSam... Yes, I did check Washington hunting regs before I made my post. I made the wrong assumption that it was "hunting" rather than "pest control". Washington regs and Federal regs are both pretty clear about how you can "hunt" for migratory waterfowl

Those rifles are darn expensive here, but I wouldn't mind owning one now, especially when it's long and high powered. Mr. Green

Actually, Dave, they were so big that it wasn't all
that impressive of a shot. I shot two that were
out at 110 yards and it still wasn't very hard of a shot.
