I was Sportsmans Warehouse yesterday.I saw some Crosman .177 Fireball pellets,I thought what the heck I'll try um just for fun.
After I got home and opened the tin I almost sh#*?t my pants.
These have got to be the worst Quality controlled pellets i have ever seen.
Do I send them to Crosman with a letter or throw them away.I wouldn't shoot these out of nothing I own would you??
Here Take a look for yourself.Every pellet in the tin (250)has screwed up shirts and half have enough left over flashing where they were swedged to give them wings.

Are they all the same quality as the ones Bob got ??? surly they cant all be that rough they look worse than Gamo pellets which is a shame as I was hoping for them to be a replacement for Gamo's Rocket pellet.
Bob did you even dare to try some of them ? looks like half of them would be lucky to even fit. |

I don't even want one of them in any of my barrels. If they look that bad I won't take the chance in screwing up a good barrel.

Well Bob, they at least look like they would all be consistent. No variations. |

Damage, Keep the "Rocket's", they're much better than the "Fireball's", and if you really like to try something good in that line of pellet, then I suggest you try the Daisy Premium "Power Pellet", a little shorter than the other two, but at only 7gr., you sure get a nice increase in velocity. By the way, Do they sell Gamo Rocket's in .22 on your side of the world?, they sure don't sell them here, but I've solved that problem by taking a Daisy Zinc coated bb, and then superglued it to the cavity on a H&N "CrowMagnum",,Man, You want to talk about penetration!!!,and extreme accuracy, Try it out on your next hunt, You wont be disspointed, That's for Sure, I've brought down a massive "Jack" a couple month's ago with one of these pellet's, and my Tac1,clean thrugh the critter's head. Cheer's, Andy.
P.s.,,,,Here's a good link describing them http://airgunbbs-usa.com/forums/index.php?topic=41.0 , . |

We do get the Rocket in .22 but they are quite heavy and don't seem as effective as they are in .177 unless you have a .22 doing around 800+ fps.
lol I had thought about putting a bearing of some sort into the end of a H&N Crow Mag I had a couple that I had sitting on a shelf with the bearings from rockets just placed in them I may look into that a little more now but thanks for telling that you have tried it at least we know it can be done and with good results to boot.
It's a shame about the fire ball being so poorly made though cause they seem like a good design, Heres hoping they see the error in their product and correct it. |
