I bought a cheap pair of single medium mounts when I got the scope for my TX, I then changed them for a one piece medium mount, but I was still not happy with it. 
I was in the local gun shop the other day and bought a new pair of scope mounts, the new pair I were reach forward/rearward high mounts and they work perfectly on my TX. 
Cost me all together $100.00 to get sorted but it was worth it. The spare mounts will come in handy for something else.

Hey Al, just wanted to check , is that a one stroke pneumatic ?
I am planning to buy a Rifle but since i don't hunt so am very confused as to which would be an idle choice? Currently i have two contestants the TX or Avanti 753. I am looking at only pneumatics .. no CO2 or precharged.
how was your TX, right out of the box ? |

Hi Bhargav
The TX is a single stroke pneumatic and out of the box it is one of the smoothest springers you can buy; also one of the most accurate, for hunting and target shooting you would find it difficult to get a better springer air rifle.
I know very little about the Avanti 753 apart from the fact that it is a well specified target rifle, also it is recoilless, where as the TX does have a bit of a kick.
For target shooting I would choose the Avanti, but if you want to do a bit of hunting as well then it would be the TX, plus both the 200 and the 200HC come with a built in silencer and of the two the 200 is quieter than the HC, and another thing as you are in the USA you can up the power to about 17flb, where as we are limited to 12flb in the UK with out a FAC licence.

But you know what.. , looks wise .. i like the TX more as compared to the 753. It does have that peep sight and looks like a real competition Rifle but again when i look at the TX... aaah .. i fall in love again  |

If it works for you, excellent! But if you tried that on a high-power rifle, the first shot would have you running for an ice-pack to put on a freshly blackened eye! Saw a guy do that at a range once... lots of blood, and a good laugh for those who had cautioned him about the setup.

Welcome to the site. The Tx has got a kick but nothing like a powder burner, you can stand a pellet on top of the top turret take a shot and the pellet as moved about 3mm, so nothing to serious.

Once you have tried a TX you won't want to put it down especially if you want a springer, the only thing that may put you off is the weight about 9.5lb including the scope, but it does kill off some of the recoil. It's the same with everything try before you buy.

No, I wasn't trying to criticize your setup, and with anything but a high-power, large-bore airgun you wouldn't have a problem. But when I saw it, I couldn't help but remember the poor guy who wouldn't listen to good advice, and ended up with a couple of stitches and a beautiful shiner!

Thats allright there Dave, I didn't take it as criticism I just didn't want Bhargav to think he would get a black eye from using a TX. 
Over here in the UK we are not allowed enough power for a large bore airgun 12 flb max, unless you have a FAC licence which are difficult to obtain.

Hi Dave, u bet, a wrong setup will surely cause a injury, i have seen many goofups happen with high power firearms not airguns .
Hi Al, yeah i can imagine that once i fire a TX it will be hard to put it down but then since i am an indoor basement shooter so sometimes wonder, do i need this much power ? or the 753 will serve the purpose.
well i can take the TX (if i buy one) to the range for sure
