I was wondering, what are the best/pretty good pellets in 0.177 caliber?
I have only used Diablo so far.

The "best" pellet is entirely dependent on the gun in which they are being used. The same model of gun, built the same day in the same factory one right after the other, could prefer two different pellets. You have to experiment with each gun.
Also- "diablo" or Diabolo pellets is a generic term for the type of skirt on airgun pellets- who is the actual manufacturer of the ones you've been using? |

"H&N" Pellet's all the way!!! In my opinion they're the best A/G ammo you can buy. If you're looking for something that's less of a "Diabolo" design, I suggest you try their "NeueSpitz-Kugeln" pellet, It has more of a cylindrical shape to it, They're very accurate, and in .22 they're one of my favourite pellet's, and my "Recon" loves them in .177. | It's more about what NOT to buy than what TO buy. Avoid Crossman anything and look at Beemans or RWS. Gamo ammo is crap too. Find a good dome or flat head. |

aaah !! i think its RWS Diabolo pellets... uhh... never knew that Diabolo is not a company but the shape  , i learnt something new.
yeah let me try different pellets for my IZH and see which one does it likes the most.. so far i have just tried the Diabolo .. which is i think from RWS... but i will check on that.

| I also remember a type of pellet from back in the day called Baracudas. These were a longer, heavier, pointy dome pellet in .177 cal. Great knock down power. |

| H&N makes a heavy pellet called "Diabolo Barracudas". But, almost every Europe-based pellet manufacturer uses "Diabolo" in their pellet names. RWS pellets are actually Diana pellets- just like alot of their air rifles (were). |

The blog guy on Pyramyd Air wrote about the history of Crosman pellets.

I've been shooting Premier Wadcutters. They seem to be OK for me, but I don't have a $1K+ gun either. Just a Crosman 2300T. It seems to like the Crosman pellets.
The guy that runs the local range here made a comment to me about .22's. "I would like to get good enough that the difference in ammo makes a difference."

| Diabolo refers to the style/shape of the skirt- which is darn near identical on all airgun pellets. The head shape is irrelevant for use of the term "diabolo". |

I have a IZH also but have not had the chance to shoot any real quality pellets yet. I have been shooting Crosman Competition wad cutters with some success. I only have a seven yard range in the basement but have been shooting consistent 10 shot 1/4 inch groups with one and sometimes two fliers. Ain't bad for me. I got some Crosman Premier ordered and have heard they even better. Also got some RWS 10's a coming so all ten shots ought to disapear in one little hole.  |

| the one which i am using currently are the RWS diabolo pellets. I am planning to order Beeman Match wadcutters and a tube of silicone oil from pyramyd. Lets see how that goes. |

| My IZH 46m likes Yellow Vogel Match Pellets in 4.48mm and I've been able to put alot of them "in the black", which for me is pretty tough most of the time . . . |
