Why are there so many more co2 bb guns compared to pellet guns. I seen so many nice Pistols but they're bb and I don't like bb's because of the ability to ricochet. Is it cause they're easier to load? I was just wondering. This all costs more to make. Al Thanks for replying. I have Beretta PX 4 Storm Blow back that fires either pellets or bb's in 16 round mag, and I love this pistol. It's solid with a metal slide and an open receiver where you can see the rotary chamber Really accurate at 30 feet +.   Posted: Tue Sep 26, 2017 10:07 am cobalt327 New Member Joined: 22 Jul 2017 Posts: 9 Location: GA. USA My opinion is along the same lines- an airgun "action pistol", i.e. an autoloading repeater that often simulates an actual powder burner in looks, 'feel' and operation, is usually easier to make and less prone to jams than a similar gun that shoots pellets. Pellets are a problem in such guns, and when the ARE used, the magazine capacity is generally far less than a comparable BB gun. BB guns often get a lot of shots from a cartridge, and at a decent MV. And as said, BB guns are easy to manufacture- no rifling needed, magazines are generally simpler and can be easier to reload. The downsides are less accuracy and for some reason, many times the BB pistols will not have adjustable sights- something of a pet peeve of mine. I have a non-blowback S&W M&P 40 (made by Umarex) that would be a darned nice shooter if it only had an adjustable rear sight! _________________ How to hot rod the Daisy lever action BB gun. I want a pellet and BB shooter, Non Blowback. I really like the look and feel of my Berretta Storm. I get about 50 good shots to a cylinder then it's just a waste to fire any more pellets because they just start dropping. Pellets are usually toxic as they are lead, so you have to wash your hands after use. There are lead free pellets, but they're not as available and they cost more.
