Here's a 2-piece portable target stand I made up from 1-1/2" PVC pipe and fittings, 1"x2" furring strips, a 3/4" birch backstop, 4 pieces of heavy carpet, and 2 spring clamps.
It's good...I like it!

Mount a couple of wheels on it and tell your wife its a new wheel barrow you made so you can do yard work with it. |

Looks good. It's smart to use wood around the impact area. I have seen guys at the range destroy all-pvc frames in one session. (It shatters.) You could also screw a pop bottle cap to the top to hold plastic bottles. A cross bar between the uprights would be a good place to hang reactive targets. An easel-type tray at the bottom could be a perch for smaller objects. |
