Hello everyone!
For my Birthday recently My wife bought me a Hammers 3-9x32 AO air rifle scope. And let me just say WOW! I was blown away. It was within 2 inches of point of aim as soon as I mounted it, I was shooting holes through the center of acorns at 20 yards within 5 minutes and was blowing away cans at 60 yards very soon after. I was very pleased with that. Then I proceeded up the particularly steep knobs at my father in laws that was mentioned in my post about the sling install on a Crosman phantom (which I'm glad I did because the scope did make the rifle heavy) and came back with a squirrel and about 500 ticks shortly there after but that's a whole different story.
I guess what I'm really trying to say is I have fallen in love with airguns. I have AR-15's, pistol caliber Carbines, .22 lr, various handguns etc.... And nothing compares to the joy of putting A 7.4 grain pellet through the hole in a DVD at 30 yards. I'm most excited about the fact that my rifle shoots best with Crosman pointed hunting pellets (the really cheap ones) so ammo wont be an issue. What my main concern is that one day this rifle will break. and I have no idea what parts are in there let alone what will break. I plan on looking at an exploded diagram to figure how everything works. I don't think it will be that complicated but that still doesn't tell me what breaks. Only experience will and rather that wait around for my own experience I was just wondering if I could borrow yours?
Sorry for such a long post hope to hear from everyone soon! |
