Just purchased my first non Daisy air rifle, a Stoeger X10. It shoots like all the reviews say, tough to cock, trigger needs help etc. I hope to work most of this out though with lots of shooting and maybe an aftermarket trigger. The gun seems louder than I expected but that's not really a problem here as my backyard has plenty of room to shoot.

looking forward to many happy shooting hours with you guys...

Welcome to the forum! It sounds like you're off to a good start. The gun will take 500-1000 rounds to break-in and become consistent. During that time you will also be learning how to hold it for accuracy - springers are hold sensitive (see "artillery hold"). I think you will be pleased should you install an aftermarket trigger. Have fun with it, and report back.

Indeed, I had read the artillery hold and knew it would take some breaking in...it seems to get a bit easier to cock and easier to load as I learn to shoot this springer. The trigger remains impossible to know when it will fire, but I realize consistency is the name of the game in shooting and most other sports.

I still am too inexperienced to have the hold any where close to mastered but I am hopeful to rid my Mom's pecan trees of pesky squirrels this fall.

I returned to work today, after a mild stroke and am feeling great. As soon as the sun sets a bit and I have some shade I hope to dial in the scope...would it be ok to rest the gun ala benchrest, to set the scope as my hold isn't that steady , or is that just wasting time?

Either way it helps to break the gun in so i will, just wondering...

Good afternoon i am new here and would like some feed back if possible on a daisy powerline 92. I purchased this C02 pellet gun at a flea market and it is in very good condition brought it home loaded a fresh co2 and worked beautiful. One day i was shooting with it ran out of c02 put a new one in and now it won't fire. the gun holds the c02 with no leaks. One thing i did notice when putting a fresh c02 was when i tightend the c02 screw i did not hear a slight hissing sound befor the last 1/4 turn. Does anybody have any ideas what may be wrong. i took the gun apart and ther is no pellets jammed in there. Could it be the C02 valve?
