Hi! My name is Alvin, age 60 and living in North West Houston, Texas.

While unpacking some very old boxes from an old house move I had in the mid 80's I discovered my old Crosman American Classic / Medalist .177 pump gun.

It brought great memories and I decided to put it back into action.

Looking for information on it I discovered the wonderful world of all the modifications that can be made to this type of air gun.

One thing led to the other and with the help of eBay I have it restored and further more it encouraged me to buy a new Crosman 1322 which has now a polished sear, adjustable trigger spring, custom adjustable hammer spring, polished hammer, steel breech, longer brass probe, aluminum flat piston, modified flat valve, a longer barrel (24") and a 4X20 scope. I also installed a 1389 stock and a Delrin forearm.

It shots quite well and it is very accurate. I have also ordered a Chrony and I am curious to see how fast the pellets are being fired.

I have been so impressed with its performance that I also bought a Crosman co2 2240 pistol for similar modifications. At this stage I am collecting the high performance / custom components for its modification.

My last acquisition was a Benjamin Discovery rifle that later will be also souped up.

Thank you for the opportunity and I hope I can meet other Crosman modification enthusiasts and if I am lucky enough, maybe I could meet someone from Houston to exchange notes and maybe to go out to shoot together.

Thanks!

Alvin

Welcome to the forum! Most people are just testing the waters when they show up here - it sounds like you did a cannonball from the high board first. Nice to have you.

Welcome Alvin!

You will find mountains of crosman info on here. Watch that rsterne though. He is the mad rocket scientist of the bunch. He builds stuff that nasa envies. lol I love modifying crosman stuff too, but alas I have no place to shoot right now except for my ex-wife's which I do every sunday with my son.I am fixing up a chinese air rifle for him right now that needs a LOT of work. It will only cock half the time, which I've already figured out what's wrong, I just have to make time to fix it.

There is only one rule. You have to take LOTS of pictures! lol We live on that stuff here!I just got a camera so I'll be taking pics and uploading them on here soon. I'm in the process of refinishing a stock for my storm in onyx black and I will be posting pics of it on here as soon as I get the spar urethane on it. It just looks kind of flat and dull right now because there's no gloss to it.

Like I said though, lots of pics! We needs them please! Twisted Evil

Have a good shootin day!

My most sincere appreciation to both of you for the replies to my introduction.
I promise my next participation will contain photographs. I recognize that they add value to the forum and to the posting.

Thank you kindly.
Alvin
