Night and day difference. I would not bother with changing the screw. Just polish it and file the trigger so it screws down flush.
But no more sand paper trigger. Smooth though heavy first stage. Then the break is heavy but predictable. Not bad for fifteen minutes work.
Still not hitting what I want. But it is still on its first tin of pellets. The group on the right was shot with me looking between each shot. The group on the left was five as fast as possible without looking just aim at the center every time. The group is tight now. But the pistol is hard to handle with a bad shoulder.

I have made some more progress. I started using a tool to seat the pellets. I have a Beeman pell-seat. I use the ball end to click the pellet into the bore. This made a difference. The trigger is much better after polishing the parts. Still heavy but smooth and predictable.
I want to leave the Beeman scope I was using on the P1 magnum. But would like to get a new scope fr this gun. If it does not work out I will just get another gun for the scope. The NT Pistol is 80 dollars. Does anyone have a suggestion for a scope for under 100? I like the aim point type.
I shot this group using the pell-seat. Still only a half a tin of pellets have been fired through it.

Please keep us updated! I made a PVC cocking assist/muzzle brake for mine to see if it helps.

THis is the scope I have on one of my custom 2240s. I couldn't find an aimpoint with a dovetail mount. All of them had weaver mounts. PM Big Ern. He knows where to find aimpoints with a dovetail mount.
