I found me an New old stock B2(B1) Lock barrel .22 cal. rifle(maybe Industry Brand it says Air Gun Inc on the box..) .I am having trouble finding information on this cheap critter.Typical Chinese Mystery wood dipped in lacquer,runs all over the place,but it has some nice grain to be brought out..I'll work it over.
I took it out of the box and degreased it (yep it was nasty),cleaned out the barrel which was so full of crud I'm glad I did'nt try to shoot it.At that point I decided to tear it down before even attempting to fire it.Man am I glad I did.
The synthetic seal on the end of the piston was all tore to hell and embedded with steel fragments.The charging chamber was full of metal shavings all stuck in there with some bad smelling brown grease(no scores in the wall).
I have cleaned it out and honed the internals,polished the piston,trigger,sear,and a new polished spring will replace the one that was in it.(Pictured: long one is new)
If someone has a shop manual or a exploded view(or knows where I can get one) it would sure help me reassemble this little shooter with out having to put it together a couple of times.I did not look at things close enough when I tore it apart DUH!!
You will notice the Macarri spring is a little bit bigger it belongs to a RWS 92 which should take it up to about 700-750 FPS.I am going to chop the barrel about 6" right now it is 19 7/8 " long.A bit to much barrel.
Notice the ball hone it is a 1"hydraulic hone in 240 grit from J&L Tool Company.A very nice tool for airgunners.
Just had to do another AL!!
For $25 it will keep me busy
I had the spring and seal so no out
of pocket money on this one
Other than purchase price.

It is a BAM gun- seems everybody relabels it for some reason. In the UK it is an "SMK B2" in the U.S. I've seen 2 or 3 different "manufacturers" names on it, and in Canada it gets called a BAM or a Xisico.
In any event, for $25.00 it's hard to beat. There is also a .22 version of it available. I tried to get a few of them a month or so ago- but stock was all gone from distributors and a new shipment from China wasn't expected until sometime in February... |

It is a .22 !! Thats the only reason I bought it.They claim only 450-550 FPS but a friend of mine who bought one for his son and has a crony is getting 742-748 FPS ,by doing the exact spring change and /tune and opening the transfer port to 3/16 if an inch.As I type I am starting reassembly of the action.I'll let ya know what it shoots as soon as the wather breaks around here and I can talk the cronogragh out of John for a day or so..

That's a good deal there Bobby, Look's like mine, but I got the model that's just above yours the B2-2A(s), Here'a a pic of mine:  , as you can see the only real difference is the stock, and the front sight. Right out of the box it shoot's 550fps, and with just a spring change you're adding another 200fps, so 750fps for a B2 .22 is pretty good, wouldn't you agree?  , and one thing you'll love about these B2's is their accuracy, mine's a tack driver(and just in case "Broom's reading the only plastic on the gun is the front sight, and the spacer on the butt-pad  ),,so, Get with it Bud's, and change that spring, and post some numbers  , Andy.

To much plastic!!!! 
I got something B2-ish too, for a friend. Just a cheap used airgun. No plastic on the darned thing either.
It's safe to say that the Slavia was worth that 10 Euro's more. |
