Stupid- you think somebody would have said something- there was someone else there who the guy instructed to find some hearing protection (which was ignored, apparently)...
Some people are too stupid to own guns. |

True, well it has happened to me may a times.
I also shoot firearms and visit indoor ranges. One day, i was shooting in my lane and this guy with his girlfriend comes and tries to teach her shooting.
When he is reloading his gun he is not aware of .. where the gun is pointing.. he pointed the gun at me (unknowingly) while loading couple of times .. and then i told him .. "Dude !! your gun should point down range, at all times !!"
Man some people just don't learn .. till a shot goes off |

And that's the reason why most girls don't like guns. Because boys don't tell them how to use them correctly.
It's also why not everyone should be able to have a gun, or shoot one without a good permission.
Very sad.
In my country, you'll first learn a lot of basics before you are even allowed to fire a large caliber.
I don't mind that it's easy to own a gun in the US, as long as people are tought how to use them correctly. I can't stand it when someone is holding a gun like a teddy-bear in the first place. Let people get some proper shootin' education, for cryin' out loud. |

Well, i would say around 50% of the crowd, who are not serious shooters, get excited when they are shooting. They get excited as if they are watching a football match and in this excitment they forget the basic rules.
I have sat in a corner and have watched the newbies shoot, normally 6 out of 10 newbies who shoot have some kind of action hero on their mind they will make poses with the gun, try to hold the gun in many different ways, click pictures, giggle, tease each other ... which is not wrong .. but i would say .. excitment is the one which makes a person forget !!
There is one more category where one is an experienced serious shooter and the other is a learner newbie, this combination is pretty safe to shoot with. |

I say excitement is wrong. Excitement killed the dog. You don't want someone with a deadly gun to be excited. That's just stupid and dangerous. |

Ouch!
Newtons third law of motion, "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction", So that one could have been avoided if she knew that or if she was told.
Real shame that!
Also the US really need to sort out their suppressor issues!

LOL, I remember once on the range while I was still in the forces, there was a M/Cpl who hadn't been on the range in quite a number of years, took his FN C1 A1 loaded his clip and proceeded to listen to the R/O command's, Since he was a portly fellow, he must of held the gun a good couple of inches away from his shoulder, anyway's Command was given to fire,Bang!! all we hear is a massive scream,,Buddy dislocated his shoulder on the first rnd,LOL,, You couldn't screw around with those gun's, no recoil pads on those gun's, solid brass butt plates(w/ holes for a pull through, etc), after a day on the range you had a bloody bruise on your shoulder the size of a grapefruit,LOL, we used to pity the smaller guy's in the regt,.,Andy. |
