I'm moving to Lima, Peru tomorrow to live with my fiance. Only 40 pounds of luggage, and guns of every description are illegal. Hopefully I'll get back home around June or July, and hopefully my mom buys me lots of cool stuff while I'm gone to try to get me to come home (cough Marauder cough cough).

My skin is gonna be crawling down there if can't shoot something. I might carve myself an atlatl... I'm already proficient with the blowgun.

When you get there look in the phone book for armas/rifles de aire comprimido (arms/rifles of compressed air). Or, do a Google search for words like "peru," "foro" (forum), and aire comprimido. That might lead you to more information about shooting airguns in Peru, and perhaps might generate some personal contacts as well. To get you started, here is a forum relating to bows, crossbows, and airguns:

Peru is amazing. I was there in July and loved it. Lima is very cool. Good luck!

I feel for ya man. Not being able to shoot for awhile would get to any/all of us. But it may not be that bad. At the very least if you cant have airguns you can have one of these.

No hpa filling worries or ammo fussiness with this baby either Mr. Green

If I were you would buy a mountain bike, maybe its an opportunity to try something new. I bet there is plenty of landscape to go fishing, hiking, etc.

Who knows, even bird watching, LOL!
