Back from seeing the new grand daughter in Sacramento. If it wasn't for family, I would have been happy to never set foot in Kalifoniastan again.

News is my son will be moving up here before the snow flies this year.

One day of R&R and off to the Hunting grounds to spend 5 days and 4 nights in a tiny 16' camp trailer with 3 other guys. It's going to take a year to get the stank out of it when we are done. I'm betting on a Dutch Oven effect Twisted Evil

All I know is I have been waiting 30 years to go deer hunting and this is my first chance at it.

I also have a 1940 izvhesk (sp?) 91/30 ex-sniper

Previous owner molested it to the point of no return. (Took off rear sight by 'desoldiering' it) but what can you say when you pay 50$ for a working warhammer?

As it has been said, its not a real kick, more of a push. And man, what a hole at the other end of the range!

Tension Barrel is ready for finishing.

Now to machine a suitable Muzzle Brake for it.

Okay man, you have my approval, you didn't ruin that one! That's really awesome. I'd love to see a similarly sporterized 8mm Mauser. I'd almost be willing to send you my old one for nothing just so you would have someplace to start. I've got a really slender GEW 98, has like a 30-billion inch barrel. If you kept a slender, long look to it it would make an awesome bench gun :P

Not much progress lately. I've been working on air gun parts production.
I did take a little bit of time to finish the muzzle thread protector so when we get a break in the weather I can go out and shoot it again.

Thanks guys.

I can't wait to have some more time to finish it up and go out shooting.

My youngest from my first marriage just moved up from Cali. bringing his wife and my other 3 grand kids with.

I have to help him build an office in the garage as he just secured a Apple @ Home position. Great pay, more than I make and benefits for his family.

So time to put my construction boots and hat on...
