| What is the major difference between the Crosman 2300kt and the 2400kt? I want to buy one for killing rats at the horse barn. I have looked on the Crosman Custom Shop site and there are no specs listed other than what barrel and caliber you want and other items you want on the gun. Does one shoot different than the other? Any info will help. |

| The only difference is one is a pistol setup and the other is a rifle setup. Internally they use the same valve and power source.Personally I would go with the rifle setup as it has a higher muzzle velocity and is more accurate due to the rifle stock. The higher muzzle velocity it due to the longer barrels being available.Personally I would go with the longest .22 caliber barrel. That's what I got when I ordered mine. |

| Thanks, that is exactly what I needed to know. I will be going with the 2400kt in .22 cal. with the long barrel. What fps should I expect with that setup? |

| I really don't know for sure. I know I go squirrel hunting quite regularly with mine. I haven't wounded one yet knock on wood. |

24" barrel in stock form ~580ish fps at 70*F.... ie the same as a 2260....

Thanks Guys,
With it shooting at around 580 fps and abllity to kill squirrels, I should have no problem taking out barn rats with that setup.
