i bought the gun a couple years ago. got rid of factory scope and put a RWS 4-12x50 on it last year. it was shootin pretty good. hitting a quarter at 30 yards. i put the grt 3 trigger in it and my groups went down hill. just noticed that the breach seal looks worn out so maby thats the problem. so, does anybody know where i can get a breach seal? gamo wont send it to me for some reason. also do you guys know what JM tune kit i would need for this gun? i "think" the "gamo etc. express package" is what i need but i am new to all of this. any questions, comments, or thoughts on this are really appreciated. thanks

i dont know about what kit you need but my big cat was a piece of crap till i put in the same trigger as you did. when i was inside i deburred it with jewlers files and took out a bunch of grease . now its a real hard hittin accurate gun . gamo claims they wont sell seals unless your a firearms repair man with ffl . do to some safety crap . probably afriad when you open it up n see how cheep it is inside you might sue them for sellin inferior junk . after workin on it ,its a fine gun but id never buy another .

thanks for the reply robert. i know the big cat isnt a great gun, but its all i have to work with at the moment. can you please elaborate on what you "deburred" ? im familiar with the term, but not sure where it needs to be done or how.

i took it completely apart and the cocking slot is sharp towards the inside of the tube , and any place that feels sharp . when they leave the factory they cram the piston seal in and 9 times out of 10 the seal has damage from the sharp edges . and where the cocking slide rubs is rough . it is best to deburr all sharp places and use light lubes . too much grease in the chamber and it diesels too much and burns the piston seal. i was lucky as my deal was ok . when inside i installed a charlie da tuna gold trigger . now it shoots fine , nice trigger pull. as for all you have to work with they are ok guns after a little tinkering . but for the price i found a few dollars more and get a dinan 34 . i will state this , id rather have a gamo any day over a crosman . that will stir some up but i had a benjamin titan and a crosman quest and had to return both and then they both went bad again so i sold them and got a big cat . i have several dianas and a hw that have to be the best , but your gamo is a good gun . after workin my big cat over it will stack pellets at 30-40 yards easy and ive killed starlings from 50 yards 1 shot clean kill

ill be takeing her apart again soon. finally got gamo to send me the breach seal i need. 4 of them for under 10 bucks, and free shipping too. also ordered the jm spring, piston seal, and lube kit i need for this gun. hopefully i can get mine to shoot with as little noise and recoil as this one.
