Thought I would share a little story about sighting in a new Benjamin Classic .22cal.

I set a paper sighting target up on a 4x8' sheet of 7/16 OSB at 25 yards. The plywood was leaning against a tree and there is about 100 yards of lawn before the forest begen behind said tree.

I start plinking away, adjusting the scope trying to dial it in. Every now and then after I squeezed off a shot I could hear what sounded like a pellet hitting the leaves in the forest. Every time I heard it I thought there is no way I could be that far off target. This went on for about three or four shots and much head scratching inbetween.
I went down range and stapled a new target directly over the existing and went back to shooting. The very first shot into the new target hit about a half inch low and to the rigth of the bull, followed by the sound of the pellet hitting the forest.
Perplexed, knowing I had hit the target, I went down range to investigate. My mystery was solved upon inspeciton of the back of the 7/16 thick board to see it riddle with exit holes!
Needless to say, I am impressed with the new spring rifle!
