Hi! Im New here!
Im getting a Hatsan At44-10 .22 to some pest control with and i need a scope.
Will a 4x32 Mildot scope be good? or do i need like a 3-9x32 scope?
The longest range will be like 50-60 yards, maybe more sometimes, but probably not so often.
Cant wait to kill those damn Blackbirds! |

Welcome to the forum!
4X should be just fine at sub-50 yard ranges, and a mildot reticle really helps estimate holdover (under). For me, even more important than magnification is having an adjustable objective lens. |

Welcome aboard.
A 4x32 scope is ok. But I'd go for the 3-9x32. Better for shooting at varied or shorter ranges. An AO lens would be ideal, but in the absence of AO the magnification on the 3-9 can be used to estimate the range of your target.
The AT44-10 is a really nice rifle. You're gonna enjoy shooting it. |

I use a 4 x 32 AO on my Grouse Gun, but I never shoot over about 40 yards.... On 90% of my airguns I use a 3-9 x 32 AO or a 3-9 x 40 AO.... I think the Adjustable Objective is a necessity on any airgun scope....

Thanks for all the answers!
I´ll maybe go with a 3-9x32 scope then.
And one other newbie question that i dont want to make
a new thread for: Im going to use a FX Airguns Pump.
Do you need to be "Strong" to use it? I wonder if my fourteen year old brother would make it on his own? |

I have a Titan .22 that came with a 4-32 mil dot scope, and at first I was sort of disappointed, because my old Viper .177 came with a 3-9xsomething.
Turns out this one works fine though. I've made some really long shots with it, I just can't always examine a mystery-bird at range as well. The way the .22 drops out there though, I'm not positive the hold-over would always fit in the plane of view, anyway. |

Im starting to think of an Benjamin Discovery .22 instead.
I got a great offer for a Benjamin Discovery .22 , 3-9x40 scope ,
FX pump and some ammo for a pretty cheap price... |
