my crosman 760's front sight fell off. I am going to get a new air gun.
Should I get the 880 or another 760 or m4 177

I vote 880 by far over the 760. I don't have an opinion on the M4, as I do not know what that is.

Well, since military looking airguns aren't my style, I'll still go with the 880. Cool

I picked up a M4-177 a few months ago. I found it well built and surprisingly accurate. It's basically a 760 with a face lift. I added an inexpensive UTG red/green dot sight and a 45 degree angle mount.
So far I haven't had any problems hitting 1-3/4 " swinging plates at 23 yards with it. Soon as the weather warms up again, I'll give it a shot at 30 yards.
It's a fun plinker and you don't have to worry about CO2 or gas. Being able to shoot both BB's and pellets is a plus.

I have the M417 and it's very very accurate with almost any pellet.

I've had two 880's since 1983. They shoot very well.

Here is mine after a new paint job.

The M417 also has a rifled barrel. The 880 looks like a great deal though.

Yeah, the 880 is typically about $45 USD without a scope and $55 with.

I run mine without optics.
