I'm looking for a semi-auto pellet or bb rifle that isn't a springer or a CO2 rifle. Something that can take out squirrels and pests and all for less than $150. Does something like this exist?

Can you help?

You know I think someone makes a semi-auto PCP (precharged pneumatic--like CO2 but pumped up with air once for a lot of shots) but not in that price range.
(Sorry if you knew already about PCPs)

I think your best buy for $150 or less will be a CO2 or a single-shot springer--especially for pest control its hard to beat a good spring-piston gun. Once you take a little time to get used to it, they are simple, powerful, reliable, and quick to reload. Hope I don't sound like I'm trying to sell you on something. Smile

Unfortunately your wish list doesn't exist for $150. For a true semi auto PCP your looking at $1500

FX Monsoon $1549
Exanix Conquest $1699

If you are willing to go to C02 it's a much different story.

If you give up semi auto you can outfit a QB78 with a bulk fill cap and run it on HPA for about $150. Of course a bottle and a hose will be additional to this

PCP is another world of air rifles and more expensive. The only "true" semiautomatic I have is a Beretta CX4. It's a co2 and runs around $300. There are a few co2s that are double action like the Crosman 1077. It shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger but you're turning a round magazine as you pull the trigger also so it's got a slightly harder trigger pull. Crosman used to make a co2 semiauto, but it had a wretched trigger pull.It was called a Crosman Nightstalker. I had one and got rid of it.

Crosman makes an AR16 conversion that's supposed to convert another gun to a PCP repeater, but it's like $800 or $900 so again way out of the range you're looking for.

I agree sign I think you would be better off with a nice break barrel rifle in that price range. PCPs are EXPENSIVE. I had one and I didn't like it so I ended up selling it. It was a discovery. I think the guy I sold it to had the pump go bad anyway. A CO2 isn't bad for a warm weather gun. I have several CO2 guns and I like them. My fave is my 2400. It was 200 bucks but it was worth it to me.

Yep. For the price, there is a reason springers are popular. Rugged, (can be) powerful and usually quite accurate.
