I bought this several years ago and from the time I got it it's had no power. I mean literally it won't even knock the pellet out barrel on single action (double action "sometimes" the pellet does just that, barely makes it out the barrel). At the time my wife was very ill and I was a full time care giver, so i laid the thing aside and mostly forgot about it.

So, I'm just getting back into airguns and I have this expensive good looking pistol that's worthless. I called Umarex and it seems as though it's going to cost me about $50 just to have the thing looked at.

Sheesh. It's for all intents and purposes a new gun so I don't want to just disassemble it and try to get the parts, but it seems awfully expensive, especially since the repair may run even more.

(screams and pulls some of what little hair I have left out)

Anyone else have one of these? Had anything like this problem?

Hi paladin nice to see you back.

I’m not sure with the Umarex Colt but most pistols of this make are the similar, for double action try removing the right hand side grip, underneath there may be a V shaped spring this returns the hammer in double action mode, try bending the spring a bit wider on most Umrex guns this will increase the double action power.

If you want to strip it down then I have the complete strip down for the Beretta 92 F and Walther cp88 in photos which may help, if they are any good to you PM me with an Email A/D that can take attachments.

Thanks Alstone. If I decide to fix it, I'll go all the way and send it back to Umarex. I've already called them.

When I got it my wife had taken a turn for the worse and I laid it aside and didn't think much about it for a while, I should have sent it back as soon as I got it. My screw up.

But if it's worth messing with it's worth complete repair. I haven't decided yet.
