So I finished my QB79 project and I figured it was time to start playing with the 1377. I should have started this thread when I first started modding the gun but better late than never right?
I haven't done any internal mods yet, I will continue to update this thread as the mods are done. What I have done so far...
-Steel breech from Crosman
-Crosman 1389 barrel band
-Mellonair 14" Crosman barrel
-Mellonair 4" muzzle break
-UTG dovetail to Weaver mount
-BSA Red Dot sight

| Nice looking pistol. Would be really cool if hunting was allowed with an air pistol. |

Here's a quick pic with the shoulder stock on. What a difference this thing makes.

I'm about to begin modding my 1377 too and I like what you've done.
Here's what I've done so far to mine.
I've mounted a pair of Crosman clamp on scope mounts on the barrel and a CenterPoint scope on top. Not a very stable mount.
Can you confirm for me that steel breech from Crosman has a dovetail scope mount? I'd like to use a Tasco Red Dot but it will require a weaver rail. Where did you get your UTG dovetail to Weaver mount?
I'm not keen on a longer barrel but I do like the Mellonair 4" muzzle break. Where are you buying your Mellonair products from?
When I bought my 1377 I also bought the shoulder stock. Well worth the extra $14. Have you considered installing a flat topped piston? I'm looking at buying the kit, the less pumping the better. |

Thanks SureShot. Yes the steel breech from Crosman is a dovetail mount. I got the UTG adapter from Amazon.com. I didnt really need it since the red dot I have has both Weaver and dovetail mounts, but I wanted to raise it since I could see the end of the break through the sight without it.
I got the break from Mellonair.com. I really like his work and he has good prices IMO. If you are thinking about getting a break, you will need a longer barrel I believe.
Wow you got your shoulder stock for $14! That's a deal! I am thinking about the flat top piston mod as well. Mellonair makes the whole kit. I will probably get mine there when I'm ready. I've never done that before so I'm a little nervous about doing it untill I do a little more research. Thanks for looking.

^^Looks great SureShot! You are really going to like the Tasco Red Dot once you get it mounted. I have one on my M417 and love it. Once you get the steel breech you will be able to mount almost anything on there and it will improve your accuracy since the barrel is held in place better.

Ernesto...That baby looks great.
Don't worry about the FTP difficulty. It is very very easy. Obviously you have already had the pump arm pivot pin out and thats the only hard part. |

Yup, I found the Crosman shoulder stock at ScopesAndAmmo.com.
http://scopesandammo.com/storefront/product_info.php/crosman-custom-shoulder-stock-p-165
I bought my 1377 from them too, only $48.95 for refurbished one.
I'll checkout Amazon.ca for those weaver rail adapters. I'm going to need one for an H&K MP5 that I just bought. I wonder if Mellonair ships to Canada.
Here in Canada our Crosman 1377's are restricted to shoot under 500 fps What does your's shoot at? |

Thanks SMP! I feel much better about doing the FTP now that you say it's really easy. And yeah, getting that pump arm pin off was a bit of a pain. I should get the 1389 pump arm today in the mail hopefully. I'll take some more pics once I get that on there.

I wish I would have known about scopesandammo.com before I bought my shoulder stock. I paid twice that for mine! I think you will need a UTG Claw mount or something like that for your MP5 if I remember correctly. I want one of those H&Ks too, they are sweet!
Not sure if Mellonair ships to Canada but you can contact him to find out.
Not sure what my gun is shooting at right now since I don't have a chrony but I imagine I gained a few extra FPS with the 14" barrel.
