For those that do it, what point and shoot cameras are you using and how are you mounting them?
I tried it out this past weekend with my wife's Canon SX120 and I didnt fare so well. I also tried a few mounting options and some were ok, others not so much... but it gives me a few platforms to tweak and adjust when I can find a camera that works. Im hoping for a few suggestions that can be filled in the neighborhood of 50 dollars on craigslist. |

| Somebody did it a while back because I can remember seeing the pictures. I just don't know who or when. |

Ah yes JR......I was trying to remember who had done through the scope videos
There is a fellow on the canadianairguns forum named chronic that does them too....He has a very substantial mount made out of machined aluminum if I remember correctly. |

I there a reason you need to take photos through a scope? Or would a dedicated system be better for what you want.
I use a spotting scope with a camera adapter to photograph birds etc.

| No, I wanted to do video through the scope like all the kids on Youtube are doing these days. So you can get the commentary and see the little nutters take it in the wheelhouse to relive the glory of the hunt. I have a few mounts in mind that I have protypes laying around the house, I just couldnt get the wife's camera to focus on the reticule and what I was looking at through the scope. So I was just curious what cameras folks were having success with, not how the were doing it. I heard it from a few guys on the youtube videos that it took a few different camers till they found one that could handle the infinity focal point with the reticule so close. No worries |

Crosman/CenterPoint has a new Weaver-mount video camera, called the "ActionCAM":
So if you have a tri-rail or one of those scope-tube mounted Weaver rails, you'd be good to go.
Also supposed to be an HD version later this year (at a higher price of course). |

Sorry about the late response! High School basketball is very time consuming!
However, yes, I have videos up using a Seben DKA2 Scope Cam mount. I have commentary up with me doing some plinking, but I have been unsuccessful when it comes to hunting through the scope cam. You should try it! It's a real challenge trying to hunt through the camera!
The Seben DKA2 scope cam mount is about $60, and I really could only find it on eBay. |

My camera, the Nikon Coolpix S3100 seems to really get the job done well. |

How much separation is there between the scope and the camera lens in your set up? |
