hey everyone, i was thinking of removing the stock on my gamo whisper to give it a paintjob, but im in need of some help.
i want to know if its actually possible to take the plastic stock off the actual rifle. if so there are three screws that need to be unscrewed, and that i need like a hex wrench or something? if so which one do i need?
and is it easy to reassemble it together?
thank you for your time and answers |

Welcome to the forum!
There are three screws, one back by the trigger and two at the front (on the sides). They could be slotted head, phillips, or hex. Make sure you get any washers that might be under the screw heads.
Lift the action straight up out of the stock in case there are other loose parts in there. Some guns have a recoil lug around the rear mounting screw. Some have a leaf spring between the cocking linkage and the stock. I'm not sure what Gamo does - take a look and put them back in the way they came out.
Definitely post pictures when you're done. |

| Yep, those is them. Good luck! The last time I took an air rifle apart it took me a week to find the schematic to put it back together, of course it was a 760. That was a long time ago though. I can do just about any of my rifles now. |

Yes.

Just look at the screw heads and find the tool that fits, both type and size. (So it doesn't flop around loose in the screw head.) |
