I'm getting a 80 cu.ft. scuba tank rated @ 4500 psi. I'd like to know how many times it can fill a 180cc reservoir to 195 bar from 100 bar. I'm getting confused as a SOB trying to figure this out
So to anyone out there, HELLLLLLP. |

no using your numbers I'm getting different numbers
80 CF (most 4500psi tanks are 88CU)
100Bar=1450 psi
195 Bar = 2828psi (I used 190 bar in my first calc)
Using those numbers I get 54 fills |

| I get 49 fills both from that calc and from crunching the numbers in a spreadsheet. |

Agreed that's what I get when I use 80CuF for tank volume.
Mod check the volume on that 4500 tank. Carbon fiber? |

Not carbon, but built for deep exploratory diving, the steel is approx 3/4 inch thick. Or so the supplier tells me. Haven't bought it yet, but I really got to look closely at it. But if those numbers are relatively accurate, one could do a lot of shooting before recharging the tank.
I'm prayig that both the tank and those numbers are accurate. |

| I checked the dive shop owner,& it turns out he also has a pair of 60 cu. ft. 4500 psi tanks up for sale. So I'm going with that instead, picking them up tomorrow. Should be a little easier to lug around. |

When you say DIN type do you mean a 'K" type which uses a yoke and a clamping screw.
or a "J" type which has screw on threads
....both are actually DIN type....agreed it makes it confusing
I assume the hatsan uses a "foster" fitting to fill so thats easy |
