| Ok I'm going to get the Hatsan BT65 in .177 a few days but need a little help. I'd like to know which pellet works well in hunting applications with regards to accuracy in this gun. Any one have any experience with this rifle? |

Only ones I have heard of are in .22 or .25.... The gun has a LOT of power for a .177.... You will have to use very heavy pellets to keep it subsonic (ie accurate).... Start with 10.2-10.6 gr. pellets and hope they are slow enough (ie under 1000 fps).... as I haven't found any heavier ones that are very accurate....

| I've been thinking about all that power Bob & I'm starting to think it may just be too much power for a .177 cal. It may have some accuracy issues attached to all that power, particularly since it will be smooth bore. So now I'm a tad concerned that all that power isn't worth a damn if I cant hit what I'm aiming at. So I'll settle for the AT 44-10. A little less power, a little less range, but a lot more accuracy. |

 ?? A smooth bore BT65? Are you sure about that? I've never heard of one being offered in smooth bore. Hatsan's website says they are all choked, rifled barrels. I could be wrong though. I'm ordering one in .25 cal right after Xmas, and it better not show up with a smooth bore!

No need to panic Sholo The ones we get are manufactured specifically for our dealers and market,since our legislation here doesn't allow rifled barrels or bigger than .177 & no pistols  F#&@*!% politicians
On the upside though, if it can shoot a pellet @ 200 zillion fps thats not an issue  ie we can legally have unlimited power, as long as it's inaccurate. Only good thing about it is air gunners here have had to hone their skills to dangerously close to sniper levels  |

| BTW bob, any idea on how many fills I might get from a 80 cu. ft 3000 psi scuba tank on the AT 44-10 bottle? |
