As well I will use an abrasive impregnated rubber dremel bit that has a shallow taper to ease the breach just a smidgeon. Neither one is an absolute necessity but it makes loading a pellet much smoother. And it wont likely affect accuracy unless the edge was so burred as to be carving off some of the skirt as the pellet passes by _________________ Sean   Posted: Mon Dec 05, 2011 3:58 pm AirGunEric Site Admin Joined: 20 Jan 2007 Posts: 6929 Location: "Out There" Won't have any influence on anything. The only thing would be is if there are jagged edges catching on pellets when you load them. There is no correlation between what can occur at the muzzle end due to a poor crown and the rear loading port. As long as your breech seal is sealing things, you have no reason to start modifying anything else unless there is a definitive problem (as mentioned above). _________________ ` I'd say "I care." You could inspect it by pushing a pellet in a few millimeters, closing/opening the barrel, and then pushing it back out the way it came. I'm not disagreeing that a very slight 'polish' on the breech end/loading port won't hurt- but maybe just a wasted effort excluding the loading aspect or a burr being there. If the pellet is being crushed on closing the block- I might suggest the pellets are just too darn large for the bore- but that would take some more investigation- as Slavia indicated. _________________ ` I'd say "I care."
