Camo painting a rifle isn't that difficult. I'll tell you why. Wipe it down with rubbing alcohol to degrease it. Do several thin coats of XIM bonder in a spray can as primer. Let it dry 1 day. Then mask (light tack tape) whatever pattern you want and spray it with Krylon. If you don't like the pattern re-do it 'til you do. Once you like the pattern let it cure for a day then spray a few coats of oil based polyurethane in a gloss of your liking. It really is easy. I just don't do camo (yet). The above link is very good. I would do a good (but never perfect, of course) job with an airbrush like I camo'ed model airplanes. You might hate it though.
