I finally got my new AGS stock to fit my QB78 after a bit of persuasion and swearing, but I think the result was worth it. I bought the stock on EBay for $7.00 plus P&P brand new and I couldn’t resist it, I had to cut the original trigger slot out a bit to accommodate the QB trigger and safety, shorten the front of the stock and alter the bit behind the Co2/valve tube, after all this I decided to strip off the original stain and redo it in a lighter shade.

I find the new stock with the pistol grip a lot easier to shoot whether from a bench or standing, kneeling etc, so all in all I very pleased with the results. The only problem is I made this one for a friend so I now have another to make for myself.

No! The price is £3.99 UK or $7.00 US plus P&P about $8.00 US, so the whole thing cost $15.00, Large stocks of these are being sold off on Ebay at the moment overhere, you have to be quick though as they are soon gone.

After moving the grip angle more vertical on my Mendoza, putting AK parts on my B3, and shooting the Titan's thumbhole stock, I've noticed three things:

1. That grip configuration makes it easier to manage a short buttstock.

2. It lets you align your trigger finger more parallel to the bore.

3. Force on the trigger is opposed by your palm immediately behind. This also facilitates a "straight back" trigger pull.

Of course, the AK/AR guys have probably known this for years, but I'm just now discovering it.

Did I mention it's beautiful?

Hm, to be honest I don't really like the way it looks all that much. Neutral Can't tell why exactly though I guess it has to do with the way it is proportioned.

Can't put my finger on it! Crying or Very sad

To balance it up proportionally it needs 100mm of the barrel, but I not going down the avenue. Smile

I guess I'm not particularly charmed by the but end of the stock, for some reason. Maybe the pistol-grip is placed "to far forward".

I like the rest of the gun though. Razz
