I have been looking to purchase the Benjamin Discovery for a While. However, I am having a little trouble coming up with the Money.
I can't ask my parents because we are already in a "rough patch" with my mom being in the Hospital and all.
In case this helps:
• I am 14 Years Old.
• I live in the Woods.
• I have a few neighbors.
• I am good with my Hands.
Thank You for All of Your Help!
Jr. |

Good for you Jr Squirreler wanting to “earn” your gun. Not many young people now days want to earn what they want.
Lets see if I can give you some ideals.
With winter coming on, how about shoveling snow, chopping fire wood or anything else that has to be done in the winter.
Mowing lawns, raking leaves, trimming tree limbs will earn some money if it not cold way up there in NY.
Pick up cans along the side of the road and have family and friends save them for you.
Baby sitting cousins or neighbors. Cleaning garages, tool sheds, or help with house cleaning. Washing cars or anything around the house. Cleaning swimming pools.
Walking dogs for neighbors.
When asking people for work, let them set the price. We can always turn down the job if someone only to paid a couple of dollars to chop a cord of fire wood.
On the other hand even if the pay is on the low side, still do the best job you can. People will be willing to hire you again if that like your work.
Good luck and keep us posted. |

Thanks A lot!. I am really looking into the cleaning garages, pools etc. I could probably get some work from a few of my neighbors, for they are on the elderly side.
Again any help is appreciated. Right now I literally have about $10 to my Name. Although it will take a lot of work to save up for the Discovery, I am willing to do it.
Plus who knows. Although I doubt it, I may even get a Donation to my "JrSquirreler" PayPal! LOL |

| Good luck Jr! You are 14 right? I would look into Job corps in your area if you have it. I joined when I was about your age, but that was Indiana. I got paid to learn a trade and while I wasn't rich by any means, it did geive me some folding money. You just have to have parent's permission. Good luck!! |

Howdy Jr.
Boy, if you were close, I'd hire you.
Heres some of the things I cant seem to get to, or dont want to
But it might give you ideas.
I have a stack of 2 year old hay, that went bad from rain, and I would pay good wages, to have it hauled out in the pasture and spread out over the rocky areas.
As far as gardening, if you say there are some older folks around, what with winter coming on, you could offer to clean the garden by pulling out all the unused, un-harvested plants. As it helps to prevent disease.
And some plants need to be covered with straw to get through the winter.
Raingutters need cleaning out.
Our pasture keeps growing rocks, and I am peculiar about my horses feet, so its a constant battle. I pay my boy to pick rock, but he hates it.
( I hated it too , when I was young)
Oh, as per your user name, I take it you hunt squirrels?
Have you ever tried to sell the tails?
Fly tie'ers use them , for fishing fly's.
Check out ebay, they go for up to a buck a piece.
Idea? fly tie'ers use all sorts of feathers and fur.
But good luck to ya, and keep us posted as to how its coming along.

I forgot all about mepps lure company.
http://www.mepps.com/programs/squirrel-tail/
Try here. I make a few bucks each fall with this one. I forgot about this because I haven't sold any in a couple of years. Anything is worth a shot huh, Jr? (groan lol)
If crosman is only giving you pellets, then burn em up on the local furrytails.

Thanks! All of this advice is great! I do have a lot of elderly neighbors, so I could probably get a lot of work done for them. Picking up rocks might be out of the subject I have a bad back as it is, and I'm only 14! |

Hey Man
I just spent the last four days zipping through NY and there is a fortune to be made in scrap and junk cleanup.
Seriously this the truth. The price of scrap copper pipe is so high right now that my wife took a recycle bin full of copper pipe bits, from our renos, into the recycler and walked out with $130. The world price of scrap copper is $3 a pd

We are having problems with crooks stealing the copper pipes and wire out of houses down here. Under construction and lived in ones alike. |

I don"t doubt it.

| In our area we have had several vehicles that were left at boat ramps, while owner is fishing, and a lot of vehicles at car lots have their catalytic converters stolen. Seems like a saws-all is all it takes to get a catalytic converters off in a hurry. Trucks get theirs stolen more often as they set higher. |

| I was thinking of maybe selling these Squirrel Trinkets over my YouTube Channel. I do not know if there are any laws against it, but I think I could make a Few Bucks! |

| There's a LOT of laws that govern that Jr. Personally I wouldn't risk it. I know it's against the law in california to do it. I think there are a lot of others that have ordinances against it. I am pretty sure that you have to have a fur-bearer's license in ohio. I don't know about anywhere else. |

Thanks! I'm not going to take that risk then. |

I actually just found this Website online called Neobux. All you need to do is click on Ads they show you, and you get paid like .1, .10 ect., then once you get to $10 it goes into your PayPal. It seems really slow, but I think its worth it.
Here's a link if you want to check it out.
