I already have the shoulder stock and scope on my 1377c. I want to do some Squirrel hunting with this baby, but it just lacks FPE/FPS. Crying or Very sad If I were to buy a 14" Barrel and Steel Breech, would it raise the Velocity enough to Squirrel Hunt?

According to Bob Sterne's numbers you would be looking at 700fps...ish with a 14" barrel. He quoted 15 pumps but I would guess that would be with a flat top piston and valve

So that would be 8.5 fpe..certainly within range for squirrel

And the FTP/valve setup would be a really nice thing to have. Especially if you want to go beyond what the stock hammer spring will give.

Mine retains air at 15 pumps with a stock spring

Thanks! By using the Pyramyd Air Calculator app on my iPod, using 10.5 Grain pellet at 700 FPS, it comes out to be 11 FPE. Perfect!

I doubt if you will get 700 with 10.5 gr without many more mods....

Thats what I was thinking. I was thinking instead of using the Heavy 10.5 Gr. Crosman Ultra Mags, I should use the 7.9 Gr. Ultra Mags.
