I have to hand to Crosman for there sales technique.(A technique is a procedure used to accomplish a specific activity or task:)
They have made a Pink 760 which has to be geared to air gunners like ourselves. They have to be thinking why not go after these guy's who no doubt have a little girl(daughter) at home and would like to get her into shooting with Dad. "Hum Crosman say's" Lets build a Pink one to incease sales.
I really do not know if this gun will ever fly but what the hell it's a good try.I have noticed at a few sport shops . A .22 cal. rim fire(Stevens I think) in Pink as well as a .410 cal Shotgun.
What do you guys think??
Will it work or not?
Just wondering

No, I don't think there is a huge market out there. Ladies who like the color pink perhaps have no interest in guns in general. For those who do, just like every one of us, would prefer something more like a real gun, not a toy. Black or nickle plated is always the preferred choice. |

I saw that 'pink' gun thing recently somewhere and just kept on walking. Will it increase sales? I really don't know- but I don't think just being a specific color will do it. I have a young daughter and Yes, once she's decided she wants something, maybe she will then ask for a very specific color- but the color doesn't drive any desire for the item as far as I can determine. It may be that Crosman has put the cart ahead of the horse on this concept. I guess time will tell. |

Told my daughter (who is a shooter, and a fine one!) that I'd buy her one "right now", and she said, "dad, I really don't like pink."
To her credit she was apologetic, cause she saw the hurt, wounded look in my eyes... And she followed it up with, "I really like shooting your guns with you, though!".
So that was heart-warming and made up for the initial letdown...! : )

I don't think it will fly.. coz to me, it looks like a toy and not a real Airgun. Before jumping into details, we always see the *looks* and if that appeals us.. we care to go ahead for more details.
The same thing will happen with this thing. |

Yeah, I am seeing this "pink-thing" from several firearms dealers...
Not every girl is drawn to pink and I agree, either the kid is into shooting, or they are not, then maybe a color preference...
