Essentially dry silicone. Armor-All too - it has emulsified silicone. I spritz it on with the spray bottle and spread it out with a soft paint brush. While the MSDS doesn't list it, I could swear there's wax in there besides the liquified soap. The MSDS also says to avoid using it on reactive metals like aluminum or brass. http://www.biosci.ohio-state.edu/safety/MSDS/MURPHY%20OIL%20SOAP.htm Plain mineral oil. Excellent stuff. Thanks for reminding me; I'm almost out: To me it's like the required final coat of any finishing job. Or is it toxic? Been using it on all our wood furniture including the kitchen table for many years will no ill effects.
