First post here and have only been using airguns for a month or so now... so I apologize for any dumb questions

Basically my dad has the crosman 1377 pistol and everything appears to work without issues... pumps multiple times and as you pump more it does get harder.. no leaking (I cant hear anything), but when I shoot the gun it is hella weak. If I pump it one time it will shoot the same speed as if I pump it 10 times.

A local airgun guy said its probably a seal and such and will fix it for 35 bucks but thats basically the cost of the gun new so..... Id like to try and fix it my self.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Hard to tell what the issue is, specifically in this case- could be just about anything- bad seals, gunk in the valve, something slowing down the hammer, whatever. The solution- get a seal kit, take it apart and clean everything up (looking for any potential problems as you go)- put in those seals and see what comes of it. Even if the seals aren't bad- after use of sitting they could go anytime anyways, so putting new seals in isn't a bad idea.

Ill ask my dad in the morning if I can take the gun apart. What is the difficulty in this considering it is an air gun? I will have a schematic in front of me so I will know where everything goes and such. Ive been modding and doing numerous things with xbox 360s the past couple years so I am pretty competent when it comes to taking things apart...

if I take it apart tomorrow will uploading pics up here help diagnos the problem?

last question... will there be an obvious way to tell if the seal is bad? I do not have the kit with me yet so Id like to open up the gun and go through it before ordering it.

thanks
