I've just received new seals from Daisy for my 617X and I can't get them in place.
I don't have any of the old ones left and I've been assured by Daisy that they are correct.
I've tried everything short of breaking out my welding torch.
Have these changed? Is there a new secret I'm missing?
I can't get the seal flush at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which seals are you having issue with (see the attached diagram):

It's the seal that fits in the brass piece where the pierce pin is.
Where the C02 cartridge is set.

After looking at the drawing. I think I'm doing this wrong.
The drawing doesn't show any seal in side the puncture seat.
The seal must be # 11 which is behind the seat. Can I change this seal without disassembling the entire gun?
Feel like a dope now.
It's leaking slowly at the CO2 connection.

Looking over the diagram, it's not great.

On the second page- item #14- valve assembly- is where all the seals are located- in the bottom is the seal that retains Co2 immediately when leaving the caplet. If you're not getting a leak through the barrel- it is this seal that needs to be replace. If it's leaking out the barrel it is the internal valve seal that is the problem. You might be able to get the caplet seal out without disassmbling everything (i.e. fishing up through the frame from the grip area) but if its an internal valve seal you have no choice but to take the gun apart (and may have to do this for the caplet seal- I don't have an open 617x to verify).

Can you post a picture of the seals Daisy sent you?

This is the seal. It's not leaking out of the barrel.
It looks like I have to take it apart.
You've been a ton of help.
I've saved your parts diagram.
Do you know where to find instructions on taking it apart?
Thank you.

I've replaced the face seal. Still leaking.
I'm going to get the parts for the valve body and try rebuilding it.
Thanks for your help.

Don't know of any instructions- most airgun manufacturers have not had "repair" manuals for decades. Use the parts diagram as a reference and take pictures as you go (use a better camera than the one you took the picture of the seal!)- the seal, from what I can make out, does appear to be correct.
