Getting starting on ridding this AK bb rifle of the tactical parts. This is another covert op, as the wife does not know about it. I have to work on it when she is not around.
The barrel of the BB rifle is thicker than the 7.62 barrel so I need to modify all the parts to fit. |

I was really interested in this gun but all those rails stuck on it really detracted from it. How tough was this to do? Are all the parts you used pretty easy to order? I'm assuming they are standard parts for a real AK. |

Its not that hard to do. The BB barrel is a larger diameter than the 7.62 so all the parts have to be machined to fit. You need to bore everything out larger.
I got the parts from the USA. They are easy to obtain there, but hard to have shipped to Canada as most sellers/companies dont want to ship outside the USA.
You would need the following AK parts.
Rear sight block, upper and lower handguards with the retainers, gas tube, front sight, and muzzle brake. Norinco parts would be the most correct, but they are hard to find and more expensive than eastern bloc parts. |

Its shellac tinted with red clothing dye.
I could not get any Chinese hand guards so I went with a Russian red look. |
