I read on the manual of the 3x9 bushnell scope that its okay but then I heard from some people that its not a recommended scope. I been having trouble like the others where I have to set the scope every other day. I got it very accurate today.VERY!!!.Hoping it stays that way since I moved the mounting brackets to the most they can go to fit my dovetail on my gun, the remington vantage 1200. If there is a problem then whats the best scope I can get for a pellet gun? I noticed the same problem on the centerpoint 4x32 scope that came with it! Im holding the gun pretty steady but not the best. 1 SHOT might be off then the next 10 will group real well then 1 random crazy shoot then 5 or so very grouped shots. This is really aggravating me so im leaning on purchasing another scope for the gun! Any advice would really be appreciate, hopefully so I can save some money! |

first I want to ask how many shots have you put thruogh it? finding that most spring guns take any where from 500-1000 rounds to settle in. plus are you bench shooting or off hand? watched a deal on amaican airgunner said the way you hold your gun also can affect the piont of aim. they say to use the howitser hold for airguns (gun just resting on front hand not gripping it) mite try that worked for me. as for rim fire scopes I herd that the revese reciol on a spring gun can brake them. maybe some one will chim in with more nolige on that then me hope this helps. |

| Ohh, that makes sense I only shot the gun 1 time jk haha. No I shot the gun about 350-400 times.I use the bench elbows resting on it. Thanks for the information! Im just going by what the bushnell manual said . It said something like that it is compatible with air rifles/guns. Dont know if I should believe that since from what a lot of folks been saying! hmmm , Probaly just going to have to increase the pellet count. I must say it shoots really accurate with the scope when plinking. I guess me and the paper are not seeing eye to eye? Dont know about that. Thanks again! |

| I will also say that the barrel snaps firmly back together after being cocked so I dont think thats a problem. |

In my experience when one single pellet flies out of the group it's hold related (my fault)
I did have trouble with a phantom randomly changing it's point of impact. It would group well for a few shots then the POI would shift and it would group well for another few shots. I changed the plastic pivot washers to metal ones that were sanded to zero tolerance and the issue disappeared. That's just my experience
As for scopes I have seen a lot of threads about bushnell's breaking reticules on springers. I have had great luck with centerpoint's, Hawke and NCStar.
Many ppl will tell you to invest the extra few bucks the first time and get something with AO (adjustable objective) that completely eliminates parallax errors and from experience I have had a simple parallax error drive me up the wall. |

| I have 4 enterpoint scopes with 3 being on springers. They have all held up very well and I plan to buy more when I need them. I've never had a bushnell scope so I can't comment, but my centerpoints have held up well. I also have an NC star scope on a CO2 pistol, but there is no recoil there so I can't comment on how they hold up under springer use, but it is a very nice scope. |

Mixed answers with Bushnell. I've put my Banner 4-12 on a springer and it wouldn't hold zero. It's back on my 10/22. I've been told the Trophy series are spring rated but haven't taking mine off my AR.
I have one centerpoint on my storm with ZERO problems!
I just put a Leapers (amazing quality for $75) on my B-26
and am beyond impressed. |

| My G1 had similar problems. The barrel appeared to snap shut positively, but the least little bump (like laying it on a rest) would cause the muzzle to drop slightly. I also went with metal washers, and polished the alive jam (that chisel shaped thing that latches when closing). It's fine now. |
