My wife, and I decided to go on a-little road trip, and get away from the grind for a couple days.Sometimes the best getaways, are unplanned.Nevada was the destination, and Cabela's just happened to be on the way.... Thumb Up! I love Cabela's!We spent a good hour looking around, which is easy to do,as they have everything.

I was able to pick up some much needed equipment, and I FINALLY got myself a Chrony... Rolling Eyes Last F1 on the shelf so I snatched it up....
Now I can actually utilize Chairgun Pro...Three years back into the sport, and no Chrony doesn't really work...Razz I'll be setting it up today, and hopefully get some reviews posted in the near future...Cool

The weather was interesting....hot,and sunny followed by cold, and rainy. On the drive back yesterday we encountered a decent sized snowstorm...all,and all,a fantastic trip.

Cool! I want to go to Reno or Vegas, but for me it will be a flight. It would be a 3 day drive for me. I don't want to go that bad! lol I like Cabela's too. It sounds like you had a good trip!

Oh yeah,it was a blast.I couldn't help but smile in Cabela's.I thought of Joe when I came upon a whole row of 10/22 aftermarket goodies... Wink
I'm actually glad I'm a few hours away,or I could see myself developing a spending issue... Razz

Way cool! We're planning a trip to kings Canyon the week after labor day. We have no Idea how we're gonna pull it off. Just gonna set the dates and make it happen. Cool

It's either that or we never leave the house. Laughing Rolling Eyes

Never been to Reno. Road trips rule!

Kings Canyon sounds like a great time! Our trip was totally impulsive. My wife had a bad day at work, and took a couple days off .She came home, and said grab your stuff we're going. We left so fast I even forgot to bring an air gun or two.... Evil or Very Mad Cool thing was that she is on a mailing list for the Peppermill Casino,so we get a free room a couple times a year, depending on what promotions they have going on.... Cool

Heck last time they even gave us a $50 credit to gamble with. All we did was spring for gas,and eats.If you ever get up that way you MUST hit Cabela's...It's Heaven for us guys...so much stuff I don't need, but must acquire.... Laughing
Loving the new Chrony I picked up...now I get to build more toys, just so I can tinker... Mr. Green
My wife gets home in about an hour, and she'll find my nose in the Chairgun program... Razz
It's all Bob's fault....... Laughing Razz

I agree there Todd.So much knowledge spread throughout the forum...
My chrony works great... Cool
Ran a string last night with my 2300KT,and am breaking 500 fps with 14.3's and a 10.2 barrel. The only mods internally so far is a hammer spring out of a 1377....not a bad starting point at all.... Wink
Time to juice it up a bit..... Twisted Evil Razz

Yea Mark, good old Boom Town & Cabelas,

Glad you enjoyed yourself, they do have a lot to see but everything is over priced from what I saw.

Mark.... Did ya buy some nuts or fudge at Cabela's? If not... you have to go back...

#1 rule with your new Crony.... DON'T SHOOT IT!

Not sure if you can have them in Kalifoniastan... but ya should have picked up some CCI Segmented .22lr rounds... Kills, Cleans and Cooks Whistle Pigs/Ground Squirrels in one shot... 1640fps/191fpe at the muzzle... But you have to be chambered for Stingers...

Next time you head up to Reno... Give me about a weeks notice... I can come down and we can go out and shoot in the Desert. I got a buddy I can call up and bring out the big guns...

Didn't get any this trip, but next time for sure. There is a place in Truckee, that we usually stop at on the way home, that makes some killer fudge.Any flavor you can think of they make right there.Their Vanilla cookies&cream is just awesome.

Haven't blown a dent in the chrony.....yet... Razz
At first I was getting some wonky readings, then realized
I was too close. The rush of Co2 past the sensors being the issue.... Rolling Eyes

I'll definitely take you up on that offer next trip up.By the way,if you haven't been there yet,and if you ever go through Nor Cal again, stop at "Guns,Fishing&Other Stuff" in Vacaville.Great shop, and they have an indoor range on the side of the building.

I went in there with my Wife to check out some goodies. They don't have much air gun stuff, which was what I was looking for...Total gun porn though.
While inside my wife looked over at a rifle on the counter fully outfitted with All the goodies, and said "what the heck is that"?.... I said It's a "Special Purpose" rifle. Well...she said, "what kind of bullets does it shoot"?.338 Lapua Magnum... Twisted Evil Is it for like Deer hunting?....errr..not exactly... Laughing

It was one sweet rig...fully outfitted...$4500.00....ammo..about $6.00 a shot... Shocked
