I tried finding that post again but without anyluck. What exactly do these washers are suppose to do again? Are they added only to the top hat?   Posted: Sat Dec 01, 2007 9:49 pm AirGunEric Site Admin Joined: 20 Jan 2007 Posts: 6929 Location: "Out There" They allow the top hat to rotate more easily to avoid spring binding when cocking the gun. They also add pressure to the spring for a couple/few extra fps per washer added. They are installed between the top hat and the rear of the piston face. _________________ ` I'd say "I care." Don't load it up with washers- only a maximum of 3 or 4 or you start to risk having the spring coils bind. Two is fine for aiding spring rotation. _________________ ` I'd say "I care."
