I remember some one mentioning adding washers, I believe in front of the top hat in the piston. I tried finding that post again but without anyluck.
What exactly do these washers are suppose to do again? Are they added only to the top hat? |

| They allow the top hat to rotate more easily to avoid spring binding when cocking the gun. They also add pressure to the spring for a couple/few extra fps per washer added. They are installed between the top hat and the rear of the piston face. |

| compressess the spring more ,mostly just spacers, and guess they help the spring rotate when it compresses and decompresses. |

Well, it's not "new" so I guess by default it must be "old".
Don't load it up with washers- only a maximum of 3 or 4 or you start to risk having the spring coils bind. Two is fine for aiding spring rotation. |
