I thought about this for quite some time. After reading some threads on this forum and a couple others, I decided to give it a try.
I've never taken this gun hunting past my back yard, so a sling is not a necessity, but I like projects and this one was calling my name.
I created the sling attachments out of strips of thick, semi-hard leather and blackened them with magic marker. I then attached them to the stock, one on the side near where the barrel breaks and one down under the grip.
Here is the top sling attachment near the barrel.

Here is the grip end.
Here it is with the sling clipped on. The sling is just a simple strap from a piece of luggage I don't use any longer.
This is the nut that secures things to the forearm. There was an indentation in just the right spot so that I could place this nut inside without the barrel or cocking mechanism coming in contact with it.
Over all about a 1 hour project and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Inexpensive is fun, but free is even better. These were all parts I had laying around the house.
Hopefully, I'll be carrying it this fall when squirrel season starts up. |

| A very nice solution. Fender washers are one of my favorite things in the world. |

I agree. They work great for so many applications. The small hole keeps things centered when you are using a smaller diameter bolt, yet you have a larger diameter washer to fill the area of need better. |

I like the stability of a sling, but I mostly shoot without using it for carry to make the hike more fun.
If it happens to get caught up in my arm, I'll use it for more support, but I don't often purposely use it. |

Excellent! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. 
Just bought my Crosman Phantom and wanted to find a way to fit a sling on. Did some searching and came across this thread.

Glad it worked for you. This is exactly why I take the time to post pics, because I was just like you...searching the internet and forums and not finding what would work for me.
It was a simple project that cost me nothing...my favorite kind of project. |
