My next purchase is going to be a blowback pistol. I am looking for "realism" and functionality. I am not really particular about pellet vs bb.

My wife has a Beretta Storm PX4 that has blow-back and works quite well with pellets but not as accurate with BB's and I would advise not using pellets since they can damage the rifling.

I bought a PX4 Storm a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It is an amazing AG for $90. Fit, finish, materials...all top notch with the exception of the plastic magazine. It is perfectly functional, just hate the fact that it is plastic and my $30 Crosman has a metal mag. My only issue are the sights, which are a bit off. But it shoots consistently, so correcting it is easy.

And donec typo'd...steel BB's are not good for rifled barrels(i.e. PX4). The pellets are good and more accurate.

I also have lead round balls on their way(along with a Walther CP99). I will post after a few days with both of them.

If you want a realistic blowback pistol then try a Desert Eagle, these are a rather large gun but do shoot well although the cost is fairly high.

The PX4 sounds like the way to go. I am thinking of the Walther PPK as well. The Desert Eagle seems like a bit much. I am thinking of asking if I can take the handgun class here in HI with a pellet gun. The requirements here (Hilo) are a giant pain. 200 rounds of your guns ammo (.45 is what I currently have) plus the cost of the class, plus the membership at the range (required for the class) can get to be quite expensive. I would say I am going to get a .22, but you have to take the class before you can purchase a gun here.

The Walther PPK is fun. Had it in my hands a couple of times in Germany, but since I can't bring them in to the Netherlands...
