A few days ago I bought my first bb gun. I had my mind set on Beretta 92fs but they were sold out and the guy talked me into getting the Px4 storm which shoots both bb and pellets cause as he said it's really fun to shoot.
Now my question is for the people that own one , How accurate is it comparing to other bb guns cause I'm all over the place at 22'. Is it just me or does the blowback feature get in the way of accuracy? |

Couple of things. If you want accuracy, stick to pellets, it has a rifled barrel and heavy use of BB's will destroy the rifling. With pellets, once you get used to the recoil from the blowback, I've been managing about 1" at 10 meters (after a LOT of practice), which is really bad compared to my other pistols, but not bad considering the blowback
Using single action also helps a lot. First couple of shots on a new CO2 will be all over the place, then I find I get about 20 fairly consistant shots before it stops blowing back the slide.
cheers

Your accuracy will be better with pellets instead of BB's |

I am pretty accurate with my pistol. I probably have about 15-20 years on you. Mine isn't a blowback though. It's a built to the hilt 2300. I've been shooting2240's and other brands of pistol for more years than I care to admit. . I don't want to brag, but I can knock starlings out of the tree in my back yard at 15 yards. Practice, practice practice. You too will get there someday grasshopper. Anyway, I bet a blowback would be fun. I'll save up for a little while and buy one myself.
Back to the accuracy thing though
I don't know how much inherent accuracy a blowback pistol, but I think it wouldn't be very stable. I have a feeling that the slide starts moving before the pellet has left the barrel. If that is the case, boy do you have a workout ahead of you getting this pistol accurate. I'm not knocking you at all. It's just this type of pistol seems to be a tricky one. I'll know better when I buy one and try it out. |

if you want an accurate pure BB pistol this is the one to get. http://www.pyramydair.com/p/makarov-co2-air-pistol.shtml I know mine is very good, kind of a pain to load tho. While I'm not a very good shot it seems a lot more accurate than my Umarex H & K P30 pellet pistol. As I said I'm not a good judge as I'm a sorry pistol shooter but do like my Makarov as does Tom Gaylord. |

I Have a PX4 Storm myself and the blowback does give a kick but tell yourself this, its like shooting a real gun and people get good accuracy anyway so you just need to get used to the blowback. |

I think it would be better to go with lead BBs, they seem to have a little more diameter and heavier which helps on a good pinch on the barrel and stability.
I think GamoUsa sells lead BBs, but its a 10 set pack. |

For me, the sights are a bit off. But the gun shoots very consistently so I have corrected it and gotten used to the blowback. Give yourself some time and maybe change your grip a bit. |
