Hello to All! my name is John i am new here and ive looked ALL over the internet trying to find someone that has done this! i would LOVE to polish my Walther CP99 Compact (Black) Slide to a Mirror finish i already know how to get the paint off without haveing to sand it or sandblasting it and without digging into the metal. But all i need to know is how i can polish it to a Chrome like finish??? Sorry if i posted this into the wrong erea as i am a Newbie here so dont hate too much lol. i would like to do this to my pistol and i plan to make a complete video of it because i have not seen anyone do this to a CP99 Compact i have only seen it on the 1911's , if ANYONE has any further information that would help me with this task i would be highly greatful!
Thank You |

To polish the frame depending on how smooth the surface is, a good metal polish and elbow grease, or get a polishing mop and a fine polishing soap for aluminium and do it in a drill press.
If you use a mop be careful how much pressure you put on it, as it may cut to much off the surfsce.

| You could take it to a shop and have it chromed. People that restore cars take there bumpers and stuff in to be chromed all the time and here it doesn't really cost much. |
